Epson Stylus Color 900
Aimed at the corporate or professional user, the Color 900 is a rugged and fast printer offering a print resolution of 1440 dpi. The printer driver interface, though a bit complex for the layman, allows you to control the print settings to a very large extent. The driver window also displays a summary of the features selected, so that the output is as desired by the user.
As far as performance is concerned, the Color 900 proved to be the fastest for text printing. It printed the five-page text document in just 47 seconds which is much faster than any other printer in the inkjet category. The combo document and the image were printed in 2.22, and 10.41 minutes, respectively, which is an average score. The print quality was above average, comparable to its smaller cousins, the Stylus Photo 710 and the Stylus Color 760.
In spite of an overall score of 72, one of the highest in its range, the Stylus Color 900 loses out because of its high price tag.
